Lemann’s career was highlighted when he established Banco Garantia with his associates, Marcel Herrmann Telles and Carlos Alberto Sicupira, in 1971. ¬†However, his first huge successful business venture happened when he sold the bank for $675 million in 1998. In addition to this, Lemann’s share in the profit sales from Anheuser Busch, which he owns through private equity firm 3G Capital, rose by 35%. ¬†Moreover, an estimation of US $2.7 billion in gross sales made Lemann a top player in the beer industry all over the world. His brewery makes popular beer brands Budweiser and Budlight. ¬†Furthermore, in 2010, he bought Burger King together with his long time business partners and in 2013, Lemann made it to the headlines again when he purchased Heinz Ketchup.
