American actress Jennifer Lawrence is said to be one of the most talented actresses in film today, garnering her multiple awards and prestigious movie roles and giving her a net worth of $52 million. At age 14, she decided to go into an acting career and persuaded her parents to go to New York City and find her an agent. She first started acting in the TBS comedy series “The Bill Engvall Show” in 2007. Her film debut came in the form of a minor role in “Garden Party” and was followed by a starring role in “The Poker House,” where she was given the Los Angeles Film Festival Award for Outstanding Performance. She went on to star in “The Burning Plain” and “Winter’s Bone.” The latter film is often noted as her breakout performance, as critics praised her acting abilities in that movie.

How did Jennifer Lawrence make her money?

She starred in the commercially successful “X-Men: First Class,” a prequel to the previously released X-Men trilogy. Lawrence then portrayed Katniss Everdeen in “The Hunger Games,” which then became the first major box-office hit to center around a heroine and earned Lawrence positive reviews for her portrayal. She then went on to star in “The Silver Linings Playbook” where she won Best Actress at the Golden Globes and Academy Awards, the second youngest actress to win, at age 22. Lawrence reprised her role in the succeeding two films of “The Hunger Games” saga as well as the succeeding “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” Her supporting role in “American Hustle” earned her a Golden Globe as well as a BAFTA award. She is also an active philanthropist in charities such as the World Food Programme, Feeding America, and the Thirst Project. She is an official ambassador of the Special Olympics and has created the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation.
